Hi folks!

You might have noticed we have a bunch of new contributors to the Inky Awards blog. They are your 2018 Inky Awards shadow judges, and they will be sharing their thoughts and opinions on this year’s Inky longlist as we head towards the announcement of our Gold and Silver winners in October!

Our judges will be sharing everything from book reviews to fanart, all inspired by the 2018 Inky titles. I invite you to read along with them, and to create your own Inky posts on Inside a Dog. There will be competitions and giveaways for posts using the inkyawards tag.

But, before we settle into complete Inky fandom mania, I’d like to introduce you a little better to your shadow judges. They are:

jade is 12-years-old and from the ACT. She has a dog (always a good sign) named Hamlet who she reads aloud to. Thanks for helping spread the love of books to our dog population, Jade!

rexrooster is also 12-years-old and from NSW. They have an immensely cute three-year-old cavoodle named Rex.

catherine is from NSW and likes books, good music, artsy movies and sometimes writes, too!

eriinfisher is 16-years-old and representing QLD! Erin can be found locked inside their room writing. Their favourite genres are sci-fi or an action with some romance.

orora is from South Australia! They like video games, anime and reading.

bookboy is from Victoria and their profile image is one of my favourite on the site. It also sums them up nicely: READ. EAT. SLEEP. REPEAT.

wurrook is from Victoria, 12-years-old and loves to learn new words. Wurrook hates the incorrect use of punctuation and grammar. Eek! Hope I’m doing okay…

kithepenguin is from Victoria and lives in a messy bedroom. They belong to Hufflepuff house.

serendepity is 15-years-old, from Victoria and belongs to Slytherin house. They are a bookworm.

indiaaqua is 12-years-old. One of their favourite things to do is curl up with a cup of tea and read for hours. Their current goal is to write and illustrate their own comic with a friend.

paradox is from WA and a little book addict in a big world. They are a Slytherin and have too many fictional boyfriends to count.
